Next Victory In Japan

The trip to Japan this winter was very short but very successful. For only 3 days I went to Japan to compete at the Hiroshima World Snowboard Festival which was organized by Japanese racer Tomoka Takeuchi.

The top 8 of the World Cup showed up and competed with the best Japanese racers. I had a fantastic race with fast runs and no mistakes edging Roland Fischnaller in the big finals by just a bit.

After winning in Sudelfeld GER I could gain another victory just within 2 weeks. That makes me hot for the coming up event of the FIS World Cup on 22nd of February at Stoneham CAN.

The trip to Hiroshima did not only contain the race but also cultural trip to the city, the Hiroshima castle and the Hiroshima World Peace Monument. We had a beneficial auction of personal things for the Tsunami victims of the 2011 earthquake in Japan.

I made my own chopsticks together with Japanese school kids and of course delicious "oishi" Japanese food made this trip to Japan once again a great one!
