He has written his life story around snowboarding: 20 years of successful racing ranked in the world’s top 10 list. When Sigi moved to FIS after 24 victories at the ISF World Pro Tour, 5 European Champion titles and 3 Overall Tour wins in 2002, he also became FIS World Champion in 2003, winning another 14 FIS World Cup races and scoring 34 times the FIS World Cup podium. He also won in 2005 and 2009, the World Cup Overall Crystal Globe and 2006 Olympic bronze medal in Turin. In February 2014, Sigi ended his long successful racing career at the FIS World Cup Final at Sudelfeld (GER) after twenty years and four Olympic appearances.

Ever since Sigi has focused on the performance of his equipment. In a logic step he founded SG SNOWBOARDS in 2004, which has become at present a premium brand of top performance snowboards for alpine, freecarving and stylish design. SG SNOWBOARDS are expertly handcrafted in Austria. Sigi also supports young and talented snowboarders - the "SG PRO TEAM" riders, to name but a few: SBX Double Olympic Champion Pierre Vaultier (FRA), Olympic Champion Ester Ledecka (CZE) and Double World Champion Dmitry Loginov (RUS). „We want that everyone who shares our love for snowboarding and our pursuit of quality has access to high-class snowboards. A track with limbo gates, banked turns, narrow and wide carving turns & much more features is welcoming hard- and softboot riders to show their carving skills. The SG PRO TEAM consisting of international alpine and snowboardcross riders has shown great sporting success since the beginning of 2007-2008. In February 2019, Dmitry Loginov (RUS) wins the World Championship in Utah/USA with his SG FULL RACE PRO TEAM snowboard in PGS and PSL. At the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang (South Korea) the SG PRO TEAM athletes were successful: SBX Gold for Pierre Vaultier (FRA), who has already won in Sochi (RUS) 2014 with his snowboard FORCE. The Supertalent Ester Ledecká (CZE) won PGS Gold on her Full Race Titan.
The most successful snowboarders of the last nine years started on a SG snowboard by Sigi Grabner. To name but a few: Victor Wild (RUS), Marion Kreiner (AUT), Benjamin Karl (AUT), Zan Kosir (SLO), ... and many more. The SG PRO TEAM is involved in the development of SG SNOWBOARDS to guarantee the best performance in competition and freeriding for everyone. Their philosophy is the love of snowboarding, fresh powder and speed.
